cursed child and the masquerade
Aug. 4th, 2016 07:58 pmThe Cursed Child did not add much to the details of why the magic is all living in secrecy in the Harry Potter world. However, it did have one interesting touch -- spoiler warning --
In the Voldemort Future, Draco has to bribe the Muggles to hush up attacks on Muggles. Oh why oh, was it not the very point of Voldemort's regime that they did not have to be squelched and confined? That they did not have to suffer Mudbloods and could freely terrorize the Muggles?
Turns out that perhaps there was a little more reason for the masquerade than you quite expected, eh, Voldemort?
